DUE to unforeseen circumstances, I was unable to write my usual column and instead had to dictate the bare bones to lovely Pat at the Gazette.

The antique valuation at Berrow Hall proved a huge success and a wonderful morning.

Auctioneer and valuer Sophie Jones was so busy and saw 96 people during the morning. We are indebted to her for her valuable expertise and time.

The festive fair attracted lots of stalls, which were very busy, and we were able to indulge in home-made cake and hot coffee. Thank you.

A raffle was held and first three prize-winners were: 1st meal for two at Duke of York, Mike Newitt; 2nd Four pantomime tickets (Roses Theatre), Chris Smith; 3rd £25 Marks and Spencer token, Mary Greening.

The event raised more than £1,000 was raised for the restoration appeal. What a result!

Thank you to Sophie and to all the new faces that attended and shared in a unique experience.
