THE Christmas Fayre on Saturday was a great success and monies raised have covered the cost of the repair work that was recently carried out inside the church.
At Thursday’s Curious Blend coffee morning last week, Kim Cooke was thanked for 10 years of faithful service in organising this event and while she enjoyed a lovely bouquet of flowers, those present were treated to coffee and hot dogs.
Mary Davies will demonstrate some seasonal floral decorations at the garden club’s last meeting for the year. This will be held at the Memorial Hall on Wednesday evening, 7.45pm.
Visitors welcome, £5.
Keeping with the Christmas spirit, members of the walking club are meeting at the Talbot to celebrate a good year of walking and for their Christmas lunch, on Thursday at 1pm. For more details, phone Clive and Maggie on 01531 640617.
The annual Christmas singing around the village takes place on Wednesday, December 18. Gather around the old oak tree at 6pm, with or without your yellow ribbons, and enjoy a fun-filled evening. Dress warmly and bring a torch.
