THANK you to all who supported the coffee morning last Saturday in St James’ Church when £216 was raised for the Barnabas Fund working with Christians in Syria.
Year 6 pupils of Callow End Primary School made an Advent ring in St James’ Church for use in the church over the four Sundays of Advent leading up to Christmas. The ring is composed of evergreen foliage with five candles, one for each week plus Christmas Day. The ring was ready for use last Sunday for the 9.30am service when Reverend Sue Irwin took the service, having just returned from Milan.
Next Wednesday and Thursday, (December 11 and 12), Class 1 and 2 will perform their play Prickly Hay at 6pm in the school hall. Before the performance, refreshments will be on sale in the dining room.
