WITH seasonal festivities approaching, there are plentiful opportunities to enjoy a musical celebration.

The popular community Carols in the Pub, this year in aid of the James Hopkins Trust, will take place in the Beauchamp Arms on Friday, December 13, at 8pm.

Then on Saturday, December 14, there will be a Dymock Community Christmas Concert in St Mary’s Church beginning at 7pm. The programme includes Ann Cam School Singers, St Mary’s Young Voices and Adult Choir with Newent Hand Bell Ringers and the popular trombone trio A Walk on the Wild Slide.

There will be a retiring collection in aid of St Mary’s restoration fund.

The annual Nine Lessons and Carols in the church is on Sunday, December 22, at 6.30pm and the very special Donkey on the Green and Christmas Crib is on Tuesday, December 24, at 5pm, when children should come dressed as Angels, Shepherds or Wise Men.
