THE external renovationwork on the church has been completed and now the interior will receive a new lick of paint.
Work on Pool Piece continued last week with Jonathan Fennessy and his team from the Heritage Environmental Contractors returning to roll up their sleeves and flex their muscles.
They placed six tonnes of stone and rock under the area that has been flattened and prepared for the swings, and inserted six drains to try to get rid of the accumulated water around the willow tree.
Little wonder that the area is called Pool Piece!
The scheme is being funded by Biffa Award and the villagers are very grateful and look forward to the completion of the project.
Come along to the Curious Blend Coffee Morning this coming Thursday from 10am to noon. This is a chance to meet other villagers and enjoy some refreshments.
The recent rainy weather has made walking difficult and the walking group have had to cancel a couple of the planned excursions.
Some of the villagers will be singing in the folk concert to be presented by the Ledbury Community Choir on Saturday, November 2, in the Burgage Hall, Church Lane, Ledbury. Tickets are £10, and you can book them on 01531 632801 or 636452.
Have a lovely weekend!
