THE annual harvest supper at the Farmer’s Arms at Birtsmorton, organised by Julie Moore, the landlady was a great success.
Regulars at the pub and members of the church community gave a huge selection of produce and home-made cakes and pies which were skilfully sold by the auctioneer Charles Rambridge, pictured right, the saleroom manager of Philip Serrell.
The auction raised £560 and in total, the evening raised £700 which was shared between the Children’s Society and the Restoration Appeal for St Faith’s Church, Berrow.
Wendy Burndred, of the Children’s Society, and Elisabeth Rambridge, chairman of the Berrow Appeal, both said: “We are so grateful to Julie and all those who generously contributed to this wonderful evening."
