THE auction recently held in St James’ Church, Callow End, realised the sum of £500 for the Worcestershire and Dudley Historic Churches Fund.
Special thanks to all who made bids and to the auctioneer, Charles Robinson. Refreshments and cakes were served and cakes which were left over from the tea were donated to Maggs Day Centre in Worcester.
The Halloween party organised by the Friends of Callow End School last week raised £240 which will support the school’s trip to the pantomime, subsidise the Christmas lunch and entertainment at the Christmas party.
The school is receiving bags of unwanted clothing, toys and textiles under the Bags2School scheme which may be left at the school.
The Wednesday afternoon coffee shop is still taking place in Callow End Village Hall every Wednesday but will not be held this week as the hall is being decorated.
