A REMINDER that Welland WI meets on the third Monday of each month at 7.30pm in Welland Parish Hall.
At this month’s meeting, on Monday, as well as their usual activities, they will learn all about bee-keeping with Mr Bird.
Come along and meet new friends. Visitors and new members are always welcome.
The weekend of November 16 and 17 sees the St James Christmas Craft Fair in Welland.
The tables cost £15 for the weekend or £10 per day.

Events in St James Church for later this year: Friday, December 6 and Saturday, December 7: The Perfect Circle Youth Theatre Company will perform their interpretation of Shakespeare’s The Taming of the Shrew in St James Church.
Following their outstanding success last year of Macbeth, they have chosen the venue of St James’ church again for their new production.

On Friday, December 13, at 7pm, Andy Kelso’s unique Elvis Tribute Act will return to St James’ Church in Welland.
This is a cabaret style event where the audience can either just enjoy the songs or get up and dance in an atmosphere that will put everybody at their ease.
Tickets will include a fish and chip supper and again a sell out is expected. Advance bookings from 01684 592088.
Welland Parish Council, along with a few local residents, is thinking of producing a Neighbourhood Plan.

To enable it to keep fees low while still keeping its equipment up to date and meeting the individual needs of its children it runs fund-raising events throughout the year.

Welland Pre-School is holding its Christmas fair on Sunday, December 1, at the Welland Village Hall from 11am until 3pm. Admission free. Santa will be visiting between noon and 2pm (£2 including small gift, ages two to six). There will be a wide range of trade and craft stands including jewellery, gifts, decorations, cakes, art, books and much more.
There will also be entertainment provided by The Alderman Knight School Choir and Welland Primary School Choir.

St Wulstan’s Church will be holding its Christmas bazaar in Welland Parish Hall on Wednesday, December 4, from 11am to 3pm. This year there will be several new stalls, together with many old favourites.
This is a very popular annual event and a good source for your Christmas present supplies.
