ON Wednesday, a quiet halfday on the theme of pilgrimage will be held at St James’ Church from 9.45am till 1pm ending with a bring and share lunch.
The Friends of Link Nurseries held a most successful coffee morning last Friday which was attended by more than 30 people and which included a flower arranging demo by Virginia, who lives near Webbs in Wychbold.
She produced three stunning arrangements, one with roses, one with purple hues and one with autumnal colours incorporating a nest of hens and eggs! The arrangements, plus a box of seasonal vegetables were raffled.
The total raised from the sale of coffee and cake, plus the raffle tickets, was £143. A few quiz sheets are still available at £1.
Congratulations to Rosie Colton of Broadfields Farm, Powick, who was presented with the Fisher German prize at Harper Adams University in Shropshire where she gained her degree in Rural Enterprise and Land Management.
The parking area opposite Callow End Primary School will be closed on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday due to resurfacing by the county council.
