IN the build up to the Easter celebrations, the Lent studies continue.
Someone asked the question: Why do we give up something for Lent? And the answer was: So that we can experience in a very small way what it cost Christ to give up his glory, and sacrifice his life on the cross – for us.
Contact Reverend Howard on 07906 841893 for more details of Lent studies.
Christ Church now boasts an array of cushioned seats, thanks to all those who have taken part in the Cross-stitch Cushion Campaign.
The seats are warm and comfy.
The Mothering Sunday service was well-attended and the ladies were delighted to receive a delicate mini-bouquet of home-grown early spring flowers.
Villagers will have observed the new rainproof notice-board on the corner of Horse Road and Beggars Ash. Thanks to all concerned and also to those who fixed the ornamental stones and borders there that the heavy trucks damaged.
A new calligraphy course begins on April 3.
Those interested should contact me for details.
