ON Saturday, March 26, Me Myself and Miss Gibbs, a Shindig event for Live and Local takes place.

In 2003 Francesca Millican bought a second hand postcard for 50p in Devon.

The postcard sent on July 15, 1910, from Lincoln to London was addressed to a Miss L Gibbs and the message on the back read ‘be careful tomorrow, AC.’ The show is a gentle reflection on how we remember those who have gone before us and how we would like to be remembered ourselves, running time one hour, no interval.

Tickets £8.50.

On Friday, March 22, at 7.30pm it’s film night, showing Made in Dagenham (15). Tickets available at the door £4.50 each.

Friday, April 12, Jazz Party Evening with Richard Leachs Club House 5, one of the Midlands favourites, a quintet without drums headed by touring professional trombonist Richard Leach.

Bring your own refreshments.The event is ticket only £7.50.

Sunday, April 14, a flea market will be held in the village hall from 10am to 1pm.

Thursday, April 18, a Shindig event, a music evening with Baltic Crossing, a five-piece group made up of young musicians from Finland, Denmark and the UK.

Starts 7.30pm, tickets £8.50.

Saturday, April 27, at 2pm we will be holding a 50/50 auction.

Alfrick Players next production will be The Italian Straw Hat. This will be performed on May 9, 10 and 11.

Tickets £8, under 16s £4.50.
