MORE than 70 people attended the village meeting on Wednesday, February 20, and two-thirds of those present voted to ask the working Parish Council to explore the acquisition of the Farmers Arms.

This will give the villagers until the end of July to make a bid and will buy time to reconsider the future of the building.

The Parish chairman expressed disappointment that only a quarter of the village residents had responded to the questionnaire which had been so diligently circulated, and said that a lot of work and careful thought lay ahead with regard to the bid for the pub.

Villagers are cautioned to drive with care on the upper Ledbury Road where the potholes have become hazardous.
