“IT was all really good fun!”

said the Brownies about their trip to At-Bristol last weekend.

Longdon Brownies travelled with those from Upton and Welland to the science centre in Bristol where we were joined by girls from a couple of units in Malvern as well as other Brownie units.

The staff at At-Bristol had arranged a fizz-bang presentation, a bubble workshop, a workshop to make a compass and rocket balloon and a session in the planetarium.

The girls also had time to visit the hands-on exhibits.

At the end of an actionpacked day, the girls were presented with a Science Investigator badge.

Winter Olympics was the theme of the next meeting.

The Brownies took part in various games with a wintery theme, such as a race to blow ice cubes along the floor, and catching balls while wearing mittens.

A cup of hot chocolate with marshmallows at the end of the evening was very popular.

Please note that the Lent Lunch at the Vicarage will not now take place on Sunday as it has been rearranged for March 17.

Longdon Women’s Fellowship meets on Wednesday at Longdon Village Hall at 7.30pm.
