THE beautiful snowy landscapes disappeared overnight with the heavy downfall of rain, and some roads in the parish were temporarily flooded.

The bad weather did not deter a good number of the villagers from getting together at the Pop-Up-Pub on Friday evening at the Memorial Hall.

This event will take place every two weeks straight after Games Evening. Next evening, Friday, February 8, 9pm.

The Farmers Arms is up for sale. Villagers await further news with bated breath.

The first quarterly edition of the Parish Newsletter for 2013 will soon be delivered to residents, thanks to Marc Low and his team.

Christ Church Bible study group meet every second Tuesday.

The village prayer-meeting takes place every Wednesday morning at the church from 9.30am-10am.

A Street cat called Bob is the book under discussion at the next meeting of the Book Club, Tuesday, February 12.

Animal-lovers will enjoy this story that relates the antics of a stray cat and how author and recovering drugaddict, James Bowen, is motivated by Bob to turn his life around.
