THE next monthly coffee morning in the village hall is on Thursday from 10am till noon.

So if you're free and fancy a chat and a coffee do go along – all are invited.

During the course of the morning, the draw of the 100 Club will be made.

Anyone can join the 100 Club, you don’t have to attend the coffee morning.

It costs only £12 a year with the chance of a prize each month and, as it raises money for the village hall, enables you to support a village amenity.

Looking further ahead, the Village Hall AGM will be on March 5.

The current committee would be very pleased to hear from anyone who would be interested in joining them.

Most of us lead very busy lives, but to keep community facilities up and running we do need people to volunteer a little of their time.

Jenny Close can be contacted by anyone who may be interested .

The future of the Outdoor Education Centre still seems to be up in the air.

The meeting last Friday with county council officials was reported as being positive, with the community bid for the centre being on the table.

Hopefully the matter will go before the council in the next few weeks and be resolved one way or another.

May I finally give a little reminder – please do remember to keep me up to date with what’s happening in the village so that I can keep the news flowing.
