FESTIVE celebrations are now over and regular activities are starting up again in the village. However, if you’re having a post- Christmas sort out and have any unwanted gifts or bric-abrac, it would be welcomed by the church.

Please either leave things on the gift table at the back of the church or ring Sue Matthews on 567328.

It is also worth mentioning at this point, that a little extra help is always needed with cleaning and gardening at the church. Please phone David on 567328 if you can assist.

If you’re a member of the West Malvern Voices, here is a little reminder that sessions resume on Tuesday at St Jamess’ Church at 7.30pm.

If you have heard the group singing around the village and would like to join them, please ring 567328.

The WI are indulging themselves at their first meeting of the year, which is a pamper night.

There will be demonstrations of various health and beauty treatments, eg, massage, manicure, skincare etc. As usual the meeting will start at 7.30pm and will be at the usual venue – St James’ School.

If you interested in village matters, then the next parish council meeting will be at the village hall on Monday, January 14, at 7.30pm.

The agenda will be on the parish noticeboards.

Lastly, if you are male and looking for ways to get fitter in the new year, then a menonly pilates class in West Malvern may be what you’re looking for. This is an exercise regime which provides a way to improve co-ordination, mobility and strength.

The class would start in January subject to demand and a suitable venue. If you are interested or would like further information please contact John Raine on 07786 198332 or via e-mail at j.w.raine@bham.ac.uk.
