West Malvern

First published in Villages

HAVE you heard about the latest plans for the West Malvern Outdoor Education Centre? In a nutshell – there is a plan that it should be outsourced by the county council to a children’s activity holiday company on a 25-year lease at a peppercorn rent.

Local councillors and volunteers are working on a bid to run the centre as a Community Interest Company.

The county council says it has received little feedback or protest from the public regarding the proposal to outsource the centre.

If you would like to demonstrate otherwise, please contact councillor Jane Potter via janeapotter@talktalk.net.

The village website now features the next Nature Notes page from Peter Garner, which includes some very colourful photos of autumn colours and talk of the ash tree problems and sightings of snow buntings on north hill – at westmalvernhallandvillage.com.
