THIS summer we enjoyed a magnificent display of wild flowers in the cemetery meadow.
The area has now been mown and tidied for winter and we will look forward to the spring-flowering in March.
The Curious Blend coffee morning had to be cancelled last week because there was no electricity at the Memorial Hall.
This was a great disappointment to all concerned. The next coffee morning will be November 29.
The Remembrance Day service will take place on Sunday, November 11, at 10am in the Memorial Hall.
The Jubilee Christmas Fayre takes place on November 24, 10am to noon in the hall.
If you have any items to donate, they would be most welcome. Kim is particularly looking for costume jewellery for the bling stall.

Other events this month include the two-day foundation course in dowsing, November 17 and 18 at the Memorial Hall.

The village film evening on Tuesday, November 20 in the Hall at 8pm, will be featuring It’s a Wonderful Life.
Tickets for the village drama production, Dick Wellington – The Panto, which takes place at the end of the month, will be £7 for adults and £3 for children.
There will be three performances: Friday evening, November 30, Saturday afternoon, December 1, and Saturday evening. More details later.
