Church fair a success

AN autumn fair held by St Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, in Upton, was a big success, raising a total of £1,060.

Fr Dominic Round said he was delighted that the event, in Memorial Hall on Saturday (November 12), was so well backed despite the current economic climate.

“The Upton people turned up in their usual loyal way to support us and we are very grateful for that,” he said.

As well as stalls and refreshments, visitors enjoyed music from a Scottish piper.
