Help a child this Christmas

WITH Christmas now just a couple of months away, Upton Parish Church is again launching its annual Toy Appeal.

Each year the church collects toys and delivers them to youngsters at the Acorns Children’s Hospice.

Organiser Valerie Jolliffe explained: “It can be very upsetting being ill and away from home and family at Christmas, and it helps to know that others are thinking about you at this time of year.”

Toys for the appeal should be new and suitable for both boys and girls. People will be able to drop off donations at the church’s family service on Sunday, December 11 or can call 01684 591092 for more information or to make alternate arrangements.
