MEMBERS of Upton in Bloom will find out their fate in this year’s Heart of England in Bloom competition next week.
The results will be announced during a ceremony in Wolverhampton on Thursday (September 15).
Judges seemed impressed when they visited back in July, praising in particular the high level of community involvement, and hopes are high that the town will be able to continue its long run of gold awards.
Last year Upton excelled even by it’s own high standards, being named overall winner in the large village section and claiming Heart of England’s special Biodiversity Award.
That success saw the town invited to participate in this year’s Britain in Bloom competition, the results of which will be announced on Sunday, September 25.
In Bloom teams from Malvern, Ledbury and Bromyard will also be keeping their fingers crossed this week ahead of Thursday’s results announcement. Find out how they all got on in next week’s Gazette.
