MALVERN'S flower-filled tubs, troughs and hanging baskets are surviving despite the hot weather, and the town is all set for the Britain in Bloom judges' visit next week.
The floral decorations are being watered daily by town council staff with the help of a special vehicle with a water tank.
Malvern Town Council clerk Richard Chapman said: "The hot weather has made it very important to keep up with the watering to keep everything looking its best."
The decorations are only a small part of the Malvern in Bloom entry.
There have been clean-ups in St Ann's Road and 300 snowdrops have been planted in Station Gardens. The overgrown grounds of Malvern's Community Hospital have been transformed into colourful gardens and the trees in Avenue Road are due to be tidied up around the base.
Work carried out at Rose Bank Gardens will also be viewed by judges, along with the recently restored gardens at St Ann's Well.
Judging is held on Wednesday (July 26) and volunteers are still needed to help with a range of tasks. Anyone interested can contact Mr Chapman on 01684 566667.
