AN AWARD winning Kidderminster vocal group will be performing a special concert in aid of injured servicemen and women.

Kidderminster Male Choir (KMC) will be in fine voice as they look to raise funds to support the Military Battle Back Organisation.

The concert will be held at the Broadway Suite, Chateau Impney Hotel, Droitwich on Friday April 20 from 7.30pm is in support of the Military Battle Back Organisation.

The organisation, based at Lilleshall, works with injured, ill and unwell service personnel in order to help them return to their units or face the rigours of real life.

It receives no funding or financial support from the Government and is solely funded by the British Legion and voluntary contributions.

Members of the choir visited Lilleshall to see it in operation.

KMC Concert Secretary Steve Conway: “This concert holds very special significance for KMC as many of our choristers have seen active military or civilian service.

“All of us that went to Lilleshall, found it a moving and at times humbling experience and, when we were told that the organisation receives no Central Government financial support, we decided that KMC would do something to help.

“We are very grateful to the Band of the West Midlands Fire Service who will be performing in support of KMC and the Battle Back Organisation”

‘The concert promises to be a fabulous evening with music from the award winning choir and plus one of the best civilian service bands in the UK’.

Tickets priced at £15 will be available via the Kidderminster Male Choir web site www.kidderminstermalechoir.co.uk or from Steve Conway 07774 252 992.
