EVERY class at St Andrew’s CE School, Hampton, took part in the recent RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch.

Pupils went outside, armed with their identification guides, to count the birds that landed within the school's grounds.

Later in the week, the Eco Club collated all the results and they were submitted to the RSPB via their website. The children observed a variety of common garden birds including, robins, dunnocks, blackbirds and wood pigeons.

Tomas, from year 3, said: "Look in this tree, we have just found a birds nest and it is full of eggs."

While Katy, from Year 1, said: "I can see a little brown bird in the hedge, I think it is a dunnock."
