SINGER-songwriter Joe Topping is heading to Bromsgrove Folk Club - via an odd journey through the USA.
During his year-long trip, the soloist found himself living in the back of a pick-up truck, walked 1,400 miles from Chicago to New Orleans, and busked to get by after having his trousers and wallet stolen.
But it was during this time he developed his unique bottleneck guitar style, penning his own original folk tracks.
His journey next takes him to the Catshill Social Club on April 26, at 8pm.
