A FLOOD alert has been issued for the River Severn in Worcester.
The river is expected to peak at around 3.6 metres tomorrow afternoon at Worcester Gauge whilst it could reach as high as 3.5 metres at Diglis Gauge.
Kempsey Yacht Gauge could reach a peak level of around 5.3 metres tomorrow afternoon, whilst Saxons Lode Gauge could reach 4.4 metres.
A message issued by the Environment Agency said: "This message contains gauge information for Worcester, Diglis, Kempsey Yacht Club, and Saxons Lode. No flooding is expected in other gauge locations.
"This message will be updated by 4 pm or if the situation changes. At 8:02 am; Worcester Gauge was 2.95 metres and rising.
"A peak level of between 3.2 and 3.6 metres is expected to occur tomorrow afternoon. Diglis Gauge was 2.57 metres and rising.
"A peak level of between 3.0 and 3.5 metres is expected to occur tomorrow afternoon. Kempsey Yacht Gauge was 4.74 metres and rising.
"A peak level of between 4.9 and 5.3 metres is expected to occur tomorrow afternoon. Saxons Lode Gauge was 3.4 metres and rising. A peak level of between 3.9 and 4.4 metres is expected to occur tomorrow afternoon."
