A TEENAGER who died after his motorbike was in a collision with a 4x4 earlier this month has been named.

Harry Peter Ross, 17, from Leominster, died following the crash between a white Yamaha motorbike and a silver Toyota Landcruiser on the A49 at Dinmore Hill.

The collision happened at around 2.30pm on January 11.

The motorbike was travelling towards Leominster and the Toyota was travelling in the opposite direction when they crashed.

Mr Ross suffered fatal injuries, while the driver of the Toyota was uninjured.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “The motorcyclist, a man, suffered multiple serious injuries and was in cardiac arrest.

"Ambulance staff took over CPR efforts by bystanders and performed advanced life support on scene. Sadly, despite the best efforts, nothing could be done to save the man and he was confirmed dead a short time later.

“The driver of the car, a woman, was treated for the effects of shock and discharged at the scene.”

An inquest into Mr Ross' death was opened and adjourned last week.

Police are keen to speak with anyone who saw the incident, or who saw the vehicles and the manner in which they were being driven prior to the collision.

Anyone with information is asked to call West Mercia Police on 101 quoting incident number 339S of 11 January.
