CCTV footage has been found which shows Tom Jones at the Hive library before 3:40am on Wednesday.

It is believed the student, who is from Bromsgrove, may have crossed the Sabrina bridge in Worcester and turned right but the CCTV footage is unclear.

He was wearing a blue Lacoste jacket, dark blue jeans and blue Adidas Gazelle trainers.

Bromsgrove Advertiser:

They want footage from throughout the whole day and night but with particular attention to the hours from 3am to 5am and 2pm 5pm in the afternoon.

Anyone with CCTV is asked to: check the current time with CCTV to make sure it is accurate, note anything of interest down - what road, time, description, is the CCTV in a garden? -  and call 101.

Search parties will be knocking on doors with police CCTV questionnaires to assist.

18-year-old Tom, who moved to Worcester last weekend to start university, was last seen close to the river at Worcester Racecourse at around 3am on Wednesday morning after leaving the city centre.

Bromsgrove Advertiser:

Police divers conducted a two-day search of the River Severn and its banks.

A spokesman said that the divers will be searching the river and that the quest will go on for as long as necessary.

Tom, who is studying Primary Intial Teacher Education at the University of Worcester, is white, 5ft 5ins, slim, with short mousy brown hair and grey/green coloured eyes, was wearing pale coloured jeans, a navy blue woollen zip-up Lacoste top and green shoes when he went missing.

Police believe that Tom would have walked across Sabrina Bridge on his way back to the St John's area.

Detective Inspector Tony Garner said: "Thomas hasn't been seen or heard from since the early hours of Wednesday morning and given that he was last seen close to the river, we are growing increasingly concerned for his welfare.

"This is extremely out of character for Thomas and he is new to the area, having only moved to Worcester on Sunday to commence university."
