APPOINTMENT: David Valentine is the new president
THE Rotary Club of North Worcestershire have appointed Bromsgrove man David Valentine as their new president.
Mr Valentine was installed into the role for the 2018/19 year at a handover meeting at Droitwich Golf Club.
A spokesman said: "He will endeavour to work hard, increase the charitable income, introduce variable and exciting social events whilst supporting both local and international charities."
Mr Valentine was raised in Chipping Norton, but now resides in Bromsgrove.
He began working for Thames Valley Police Force in 1970, and rose to be a Detective Sergeant. He served at Marlow, High Wycombe, Carterton in Oxfordshire and retired in 2000.
