A MAN suffered facial injuries after being threatened with a knife in a Worcester robbery.

The victim, a man in his 30s, was walking on Stanley Road, when he was approached by three white males who threatened him with a blade.

He was knocked to the floor and as a result sustained facial injuries. He also had money taken from his wallet.

One offender is described as aged in his mid 20s, 5ft 8ins tall, slim build, with blond hair, blue eyes and wearing a white top.

Another is thought to be aged in his late 20s, 6ft tall, large build, with black hair in a cap and he was wearing a dark jacket.

The final suspect is in his late 20s, 5ft 8ins tall, stocky build and fair complexion. He was wearing a dark coloured coat and black jeans.

The offenders fled the scene in the direction of Wylds Lane. The facial injuries are not thought to be serious and the victim did not require hospital treatment.

The attack took place at 12.40am on Saturday, January 6.

PC Dean Bowen of West Mercia Police said: "Fortunately, the victim was not seriously injured but it was an understandably distressing incident for them.

"We ask anyone who witnessed the incident or saw anybody acting suspiciously in the area to call West Mercia Police on 101, quoting incident number 54s of 6 January 2018."
