PLANS for 20 new university rooms will be discussed at a public consultation.

The University of Worcester is proposing for up to 20 new rooms to be built at the St John's Campus.

Staff will speak with the residents of Himbleton Road about the proposals before submitting plans to Worcester City Council.

The consultation will take place on Tuesday November 28 from 5pm until 6.30pm at St John's Campus.

A spokesman for the university said: "The university is launching an early consultation with residents in Himbleton Road around proposals for a small-scale student accommodation development on its St John’s Campus.

"Residents will have the chance to view initial plans at an event on Tuesday, November 28th, when they can speak to the development team and ask questions.

"The proposed development will be within the University’s existing grounds at St John’s and would accommodate up to 20 students, including 2 fully inclusive rooms.

"All rooms will be accessible by a wheelchair user, in line with the university’s inclusive ethos.

"The university is committed to working with the community and is keen to hear their views before developing the plans fully for submission to Worcester City Council in the New Year."
