A BROMSGROVE man was left feeling potty after a thief pinched a hanging basket full of petunias from the front of his house.

Simon Passman, 49, of Willow Road, was “enraged” when his wife told him someone had stolen their beloved flowers last night (Wednesday, June 28).

They are now hoping someone has information on their whereabouts so they can be returned.

Mr Passman said: “This hanging basket was bought about two months ago and has been looked after and cared for, giving it a wonderful appearance and something to cheer up the garden and road.

“It has flowers hanging down completely symmetrically and looks amazing.

“My wife went out to water it at 5.30am to find it had been taken. I was enraged when she said it was gone.

“Someone could have been driving past and perhaps saw it being carried away in action - that would stand out, especially at night.

“We hope this might be read and it might be put back, or someone might notice it appearing in front of a house on the 29th onward.

“Either way, we are absolutely gutted that someone would do this.

“I don’t know how likely it is that we will get that back as a bunch of flowers aren’t very traceable.”
