A WOMAN was assaulted and stabbed during an attempted robbery in Alvechurch.
The victim, a woman in her 30s, was driving a red Renault Kadjar along Lea End Lane at around 3.20pm on May 17 when she stopped to assist a man lying in the road.
Whilst getting out of the car she was assaulted by a second man but managed to drive away.
The woman sustained stab injuries and was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham. Her injuries are not life-threatening.
The man lying in the road is described as well-built and was wearing a black hooded top, blue jeans and white trainers.
The second man is described as white with a heavy build and was wearing a black top and black trousers. He may have been wearing a black leather gloves.
Officers are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time or may have seen anything suspicious to call police on 101 quoting incident number 452S of 17 May.
