HUNDREDS turned out for a retirement roadshow event at Worcester's Guildhall, offering advice and information on life after work.

Various organisations, businesses and groups put on exhibits and had representatives at the 55+ and Retirement Roadshow event, held at the High Street building on Saturday.

Among those represented at the event were The Pensions Advisory Service, mfg solicitors, Droitwich Back and Neck Clinic, Worcester Hearing Centre, Tax Help for Older People, Be Clear and not for profit organisation Worcestershire Telecare.

Worcester MP Robin Walker dropped into the event, as well as Worcester Mayor Councillor Paul Denham and Mayoress Lyn Denham.

The event also offered 10 minute surgeries, where visitors were able to gain some free advice from experts.

Mark Bywater, commercial development manager of Worcestershire Telecare, said: "It was good to meet so many people that used our products and services, and also to hear how it helps them."
