A POPULAR pub in Bromsgrove has relaunched with a new design and menu, following a £130,000 refurbishment.

The Navigation Inn in Stoke Prior has undergone substantial redevelopment to its bar, dining area, toilets and decor, thanks to investment from the National Pub Company and Punch.

As well as the new bar and dining area, which includes new furniture, lighting and changes to the external signage, the pub now also boasts an updated menu, with a selection of steaks, seafood linguini, homemade pies and a Sunday roast.

Geoffrey Lee, who will be running the pub alongside his partner Iain Harling, said: "I believe we have created a great environment for all and that is really paying off with the comments we have received from our customers.

“I used to run the Navigation, a couple of years ago, and when I saw it came up for lease it was the perfect opportunity. I’ve ran a couple of pubs in the area but Iain and I have always wanted something we can call our own. We have had great support from Punch in re-launching the pub and I hope that the Navigation can go from strength to strength from here."

To celebrate the relaunch, Bromsgrove MP Sajid Javid visited the pub to see the new design firsthand.

He said: "It was a pleasure to see the Navigation Inn first hand following the refurbishment, the pub looks fantastic and it was great to meet Geoff and Iain.

“The pub already had some great features and it’s good to see it hasn’t lost its charm. The Navigation Inn is an important part of this community."
