SHOPPERS are being invited to take part in a 'coat exchange' to help raise money for disadvantaged children.

The 'Share the Warmth' campaign invites shoppers in Worcester to donate a pre-loved coat to a Barnardo's charity shop and receive a £10 off voucher to spend at Evans.

Coats donated to Barnardo's will be re-sold or recycled to raise vital funds to help support vulnerable children, young people and families.

The charity has shops in Mealcheapen Street and St Martin’s Quarter in Worcester.

Javed Khan, chief executive at Barnardo’s, said: "The ‘Coat Exchange’ is a fantastic initiative and we’re excited to be working with Evans. This opportunity will not only reward those who generously support Barnardo’s, but help vulnerable children such as those at risk of sexual exploitation and living in care."

Fiona Ross, managing director at Evans, said: "We’re delighted to be working with Barnardo’s on the ‘Share the Warmth’ campaign this winter and hope we can raise awareness and essential funds, so Barnardo’s can continue to help transform the lives of the UK’s most vulnerable children."

The campaign runs until Saturday, December 24, and the voucher can be spent in store or online.
