SANTA has announced the dates for his grand tour of Alcester, Bidford and Studley with the Round Table Christmas float.

The annual festive event, which sees Saint Nicholas spreads festive cheer to residents, is once again being organised by Alcester & Stratford District Round Table.

For the third year in a row Listers Honda Stratford have generously lent Santa a car, decorated with reindeer graphics, to tow his sleigh in style during December.

The tour starts today in Alcester, he will then visit Bidford on December 9 and 10, he will be back in Alcester between December 13 and 20 and he will final visit Studley on December 21 to 22.

Midweek runs start at 6.15pm with weekend runs starting from 4.30pm. The money will be donated to nominated charities and good causes in January.

Stratford and Alcester Round Table spokesman Alan Evans said: "We are very grateful to Listers Honda Stratford for providing Santa with a Honda CR-V for the third year in a row. Santa’s sleigh visits are always very popular, attracting children from Alcester, Stratford and the surrounding areas to come pay him a visit."

Listers Honda Stratford marketing manager Hannah Smith said: "We hope that by helping Santa on his annual tour of Alcester and Stratford, we have secured our place on the ‘good’ list for another year."

The generosity of local people during Santa’s annual tour has allowed Alcester and Stratford Round Table to donate thousands of pounds to charitable causes over the past few years.

Alcester and Stratford Round Table is a voluntary organisation for young men, aged 18-45, who are passionate about their local community, running a series of events and activities throughout the year.
