HEREFORD Sixth Form College is seeking a new principal – and the new boss will receive a salary topping £100,000.
Dr Jonathan Godfrey, who has been in charge at the Folly Lane campus since 1997, will leave next summer.
The college is regularly ranked in league tables among the best Sixth Forms in the country and – from the job description placed on its website – the new principal will be expected to maintain the high standards.
"We seek a motivational leader with a track record of delivering improvements and the ability to inspire staff and community stakeholders," it reads.
"The successful candidate will demonstrate robust knowledge of 16-19 education and substantial senior leadership experience within a sixth form environment, may be a serving Principal or an aspiring leader seeking a first Principal post, sharing a passion for delivering ongoing excellence and transforming the lives of students."
The college's website confirms the start date will be from the 2017 autumn term and the salary will be "in excess of £100,000"
We are seeking an outstanding leader who will maintain high standards within an enabling culture for students and staff and ensure that we continue to make a major contribution to post-16 education in our region.
