TO celebrate a milestone anniversary of cub scouting in Evesham a special mini-Olympics was organised.

Evesham cubs took part in the event to celebrate 100 years of cub scouting.

The key activity was a special archery tournament organised by Evesham Archery Club held at their training site in Badsey, with the best young archers awarded gold, silver and bronze medals.

The event also included athletics activities, with the cubs gaining a scouting badge for their achievements.

Barbel Wolstencroft, the district explorer scout commissioner, said that there was a variety of team games, and a mass picnic rounded off the event.

Cubs nationally are celebrating their centenary with adventure camps, parties and other activities across the UK throughout 2016.
