THE inquest into the death of a Stourport man who died after being hit by an uninsured hit-and-run driver will not be resumed following criminal proceedings.

Matthew Cullum’s body was discovered in Hillary Road, in Stourport, in the early hours of August 29, 2015.

Paramedics attended but Mr Cullum, 36, also of Hillary Road, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Worcestershire Coroners Court opened an inquest into his death in September 2015 before it was adjourned during criminal proceedings.

The inquest closed on Monday, June 27.

Kamil Jussak, of Long Acre, Kidderminster, was sentenced to six months in prison on Friday (June 24) after pleading guilty to causing the death of Mr Cullum.

The 23-year-old also pleaded guilty to failing to stop after an accident at Hereford Crown Court on Friday (June 24). He was also disqualified from driving for 15 months.
