A FLIPPING crazy time was had in Alcester today when the town held its annual Pancake Day races to celebrate Shrove Tuesday.
The event, held Tuesday, February 9 in High Street, was organised by offices from the Court Leet.
People of all ages and from many of the town's schools, pubs and businesses competed in the racing frenzy.
The winners were presented with prize from the Court Leet’s High Bailiff Tim Forman at St Nicholas’ Church.
Youngsters who came first, second and third each received an Easter egg and all other racers were given a lollipop.
Children and adults began the race by the post office and they had to flip their pancakes in order to win. Toddlers started from the half-way point.
