TWO sisters from Droitwich are organising a Family Fun Day this weekend to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK’s ‘Men United’ movement.

23-year-old Choi Hy, 13-year-old Holly Wright are hoping to raise more than £2,000 with the day, which is taking place at the Pillar of Salt on Saturday, August 8.

The day will feature a host of fun activities including face painting, and a bouncy castle and it has been organized by the sisters in memory of their granddad Graham Wright, who passed away just before Christmas last year, from prostate cancer.

Choi said: “We decided to organise the event for Prostate Cancer UK because we lost our grandad to the disease and feel that there should be more awareness raised so that together Men United will one day beat cancer. “We are looking forward to the event and are delighted to be raising awareness and much needed money to help beat prostate cancer.”

The Men United campaign was launched to help fund research into prostate cancer, and raise awareness for the disease, with more than 230,000 people already having signed up to help with the fundraising.

Mark Bishop, director of fundraising at Prostate Cancer UK, added: “It’s fantastic to see that Choi and Holly have decided to organise this event to raise funds for Prostate Cancer UK. By doing this they are joining Men United and helping to make a real difference in furthering the fight against prostate cancer.

“Whatever you do together, big or small, you’ll be helping us push for real change, from more effective testing to better treatments. We thank Choi and Holly and wish them every success with their event.
