A PIECE of shoe-making and repairing equipment - described by police as being of "great sentimental value" to the owner - has been stolen during a burglary in Bromsgrove.
The cobbler's iron shoe last - which is shaped like a human foot - was taken in a raid in Bishops Hall Crescent, Charford, between noon and 2pm on Thursday, July 2.
West Mercia Police, who are appealing to residents for information that might track down the intruders, say it is believed entry was gained through an insecure door.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact West Mercia Police on 101, quoting incident number 302-S of Monday July 6.
Information can also be given anonymously to Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111 or by visiting their website: www.crimestoppers-uk.org
