IT'S election day at last, and we're covering events LIVE here.

The longest campaign in history is finally over, with the British public about to deliver their verdict on the Coalition Government.

Today, all 650 parliamentary seats are being contested across the nation including all six in Worcestershire.

The 290 councils going to the polls include those in Worcester, Malvern and Wychavon.

The polls are open from 7am to 10pm today. To see your nearest polling station of the 52 in Worcester click here

To find your nearest polling station in Wychavon, follow this link and to do the same in Malvern, click here

Don't turn up a random polling station though; you should have received a polling card in the post detailing your nearest one.

The polling card does not have to be with you, but you must know your address in order to vote.

For more details on the voting process today, visit the Electoral Commission's website here

Because there are parliamentary and local elections at the same time, many (but not all) people visiting polling stations today will be able to have two votes.

In Worcester, 11 of the 35 city council seats are being contested, while the General Election contest will see seven candidates battle it out.

For all your in-depth elections news, our dedicated local and GE2015 section of this site is here.

Later on this morning a LIVE blog will launch on this site. It will carry on running into the early hours of tomorrow morning featuring all the General Election news as it happens.

Counting for the General Election will start after the polls close tonight, with most areas due to declare by 6am tomorrow.

Tomorrow, the council votes will be counted, starting at 10am in Wychavon, midday in Worcester and 2pm in Malvern.

We will again run a live blog on this site for the council results and reaction, before Saturday's Worcester News carries all your election results and reaction.
