A WELL-KNOWN Alcester pub has reopened its doors under new management after several months of closure.

The Holly Bush in Henley Street was closed in October after the previous owner Tracey Deffley put a notice in the window.

New landlord Nigel Smith will be taking on the popular local pub in partnership with Everards Brewery.

Nigel said: “I am looking forward to The Holly Bush once more becoming a central part of the Alcester community.

“Alcester folk, real ale fans as well as local clubs, groups and societies are welcomed back and invited to come in and meet our team.

“We are really looking forward to meeting everyone and getting to know past and new regulars.

“We are planning a busy and fun schedule of events and hope the community will get involved.”

The Holly Bush will be recruiting local staff and sourcing locally grown food for its menus.

It will initially serve a low key food selection and this will develop to match customer tastes and requests.

Nigel is already landlord at The Fleece Inn near Evesham and the Cardinal’s Hat in Worcester.
