RESIDENTS from Bidford and surrounding villages are being urged to come forward with information on the missing body of murdered Surrey man, Jesse Richards.

The family have spoken of their pain over his death and re-issued an appeal with a £10,000 reward for anyone who can lead police to his remains.

Lucy Richards, Jesse’s mother, said: “I ask anyone with information as to the whereabouts of my son to come forward and give me the opportunity to be re-united with him.

“I have been in a constant state of grief since the day he died and five years after his death the pain is still unbearable.

“My life has been changed forever and it is something I do not wish on anybody. I ask those individuals who know what happened to him to contact police so he can be brought home.”

He was murdered in 2009 on Friday, July 31 over a drugs debt.

In April 2012 five men were jailed and given a combined sentence of more than 58 years for his murder.

The body was never found.

Jesse, 41, left behind a wife and three children.

Detective Chief Inspector Mark Loader, who led the investigation for West Mercia Police, said: “Firstly I would like to remind the public that a £10,000 reward is available for any information which leads to the successful discovery of Jesse’s body.

“On a separate note this was a brutal attack on an unarmed man and I ask those who do possess information regarding his body to think of those who continue to suffer long after his death. I urge them to come forward to police so Jesse and his family can be re-united.”

Those with information are urged to call police on 101. Alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on on 0800 555 111 or visit crimestoppers.org-uk.
