PRESTEIGNE was overrun with floats, ‘minions’ and life-sized Lego figures as the carnival returned to the town on Saturday for the first time in sixteen years.
Kids and adults of all ages got into the carnival spirit, dressing up in a variety of costumes and taking to the streets.
The local cubs and beavers rode a space-age float – complete with astronauts, aliens and two Darth Vaders – as part of the procession that wound through the town from John Beddoes High School to Wents Meadow.
They were joined there by a whole host of characters, including the entire cast of the Wizard of Oz, as the town enjoyed a football tournament and live music from local bands.
