There was plenty of ale on offer at the Worcester Beer festival at the weekend - although not enough, it turned out.
When Allied troops invaded Normandy during World War Two, the senior officers knew the morale value of keeping the front-line supplied with their necessary beverages, and came up with this modified Spitfire, carrying a barrel of beer under each wing to the thirsty troops.
They could have done with this at Worcester. Cheers!
