FORMER Seaford Court pupil Henry Chester, who now lives in Feltham, returned to Malvern recently and bought the Gazette containing the appeal for memories of the school.

"I was there in about 1958-1960, and the headmaster was Mr Geoffrey Milton. The school had moved to Malvern in 1940 from Seaford in Sussex, presumably because of the war.

"I think the school closed some time in the 1970s when it amalgamated with the Elms in Colwall."

Mr Chester recalled that the masters used to live in Broom Lodge, next to Seaford Court, and that he found the school the best he had been to.

He remembered that he used to shop for sweets at Coppack's in Malvern Link, where his favourites were Spangles, and that the shop's owners, Mr and Mrs Coppack, lived across the road from his own home in Farley Road.
