The first competition of the newly-formed Malvern Motor-Cycle and Cycle Car Club was held on Sunday, and took the form of a reliability trial, for which 24 entries were received. The course was about 100 miles, the competitors starting from the British Camp, and going through Upton-on-Severn, Pershore, Evesham and Winchcombe, then up Sudeley Hill and via Andoversford to Cheltenham, where tea was provided. The run continued through Tewkesbury, over the Holly Bush and up Chance's Pitch back to the British Camp.

Criticism of local bus services was levelled at Wednesday's meeting of the Malvern Hills Trades Council by Mr N C Perrin, who complained that many services were ill-timed, connections were very badly arranged, and in some cases passengers had little choice but to take the long way round between two points and pay a higher fare that they would if the shorter service had been conveniently timed. A further criticism was few buses which ran past the Malvern station appeared to do so with any intention of connecting with train services.

Among reasons for refusing the application were the 28,000 sq ft buildings would be a blot on scenery of outstanding natural beauty and historic interest.
